Everything is open from the day you join. Nothing is drip-fed, nothing unlocks later, and nothing is held back until you finish something else.
Eight modules run in sequence, one for each stage of the build. Two more come with Guided. Each one exists to get a single class of decision right, and each is written to be read just before that decision arrives.
Start Here, an orientation module, and Building from Abroad, for anyone running the project from outside India, come with both plans.
Calculators, worksheets and trackers that turn each module's advice into your own numbers. They run in your browser, save as you go, and produce something you can hand to an architect, a contractor or a bank. The Budget Reality Calculator gives you a full project cost rather than a per-square-foot guess. The Cash Flow Mapper shows the months where your loan releases and your contractor's demands do not line up. The Contractor Evaluation compares up to 3 quotes across 45 priced items and flags what one of them left out and the others priced.
A question box over everything in your library. The quote lands at 9pm and you cannot tell whether the number is normal. There is nobody to ask at 9pm. Type it the way you would say it out loud.
It answers out of Build Informed's own material and shows you which section it came from, so you can go and check us rather than take our word for it. If your question goes past what we have written, it says so first.
It is an assistant, not a professional. Anything you plan to act on, put to your architect, engineer or lawyer first.
Bookmark a section, highlight a passage, and both collect under the module they came from. Your decisions, your notes and the documents the tools made for you are kept with them.
On the day you buy it, everyone's copy is the same. A year in, yours is a record of your own build.
Your reading, your marks and your tool work save in the browser you are using, so stay on one device for now. There is a button on the export page that gives you a copy of the lot, and it is worth using.
The Vastu Companion, 51 sections, so you can hold that conversation as an informed participant. The Build Notes, 607 field notes on the small decisions that are cheap now and expensive later. The Cost Reference, roughly 470 priced lines at 2026 Karnataka rates, so a quote can be checked instead of trusted.
You tell us where you are when you set up your project, and you get a short list of what is worth doing at that stage. Finish it and the next stage opens, with an email from us on what that stage is really about and what tends to go wrong in it. When one of the tools finds something serious in your own numbers, it flags it straight away. The guidance never locks anything: everything you bought is open from the day you buy it.
Same system, same library, same day-one access. The difference is whether we see your work.
One payment. Lifetime access for your own projects. No subscription.
You can move from Self-serve to Guided later for the difference of ₹44,000, as long as places remain that year.
Guided is a second reading of your own work. You fill in the tools the same way a Self-serve buyer does. Then you send us the results, and we go through them properly.
What comes back is a written review, within 5 working days, up to 9 times across the build. It tells you what your numbers say, where a figure looks off against what we have seen on other projects, which question to put to your architect or contractor next, and which part of the library to read before the decision arrives. Where your reading should change because of what your results show, we say so and point you at the section.
A Self-serve buyer gets the same tools and the same library, and takes those readings alone. Guided is the version where someone who has done this before looks at what you produced and tells you what they see.
Guided is a review of your work in the tools. It is not a professional service on your project documents. We read the tool results you send and write back on those.
We do not review contracts or legal papers, and we do not review architectural or structural drawings. No part of Guided involves us drawing, sketching or producing design work for your home.
If you reach a decision that needs live time and real drawings, that is a consultation: two 45-minute sessions with work in between, delivering a drawing or another tangible output rather than advice alone. It is a separate engagement, at ₹95,000 for Build Informed members.
Reviews are advisory. They are one more informed view added to your decision making, not a professional sign-off, a structural certification, or a legal opinion.
Your access arrives by email and the whole library is open immediately. Every module, every tool, all 3 reference volumes. Alongside it comes a short questionnaire about your project: where the plot is, where you are in the process, what has already been decided, what is worrying you.
A 25-minute call with Lakshman. The questionnaire means we spend that time on your project rather than on getting up to speed. We agree where you are, which modules to read first, and what to do in the next month.
You send us the tools you have filled in and what came out of them. You get back a written review within 5 working days, up to 9 across a full build.
A short list of what is worth doing at the stage you are at, and reading that arrives just before the decision it prepares you for. Roughly 25 minutes a month.
Module 1 is free, so you can judge the depth, tone, and approach before paying anything. After you purchase, you may open one further paid module and take your time with it. If Build Informed isn't right for your project, tell us within 15 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. Eligibility ends at whichever comes first: 15 days from purchase, or the moment you open a second paid module. We do it this way because one complete paid module, on top of the free one, is enough to know whether this works for you.
